David Anthony,
President, Anthony Funeral Homes

David Anthony is the owner and president of Anthony Funeral Homes with locations in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, and Green. He and his wife Diane are members of Queen of Heaven parish. David is a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School. He attended the University of Akron and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is licensed in the State of Ohio as a funeral director and embalmer. David and Diane are certified Natural Family Planning instructors. David consults with individuals and organizations on issues (for children, adults, and families) related to death, dying, and grief. He is an outspoken advocate on abolishing the death penalty.

David is also a frequent presenter on the topic of forgiveness. His interest in forgiveness grew out of both his history (in 1974 his parents Paul and Patricia Anthony were murdered during the commission of a robbery) and his career. Additionally, David and his wife, Diane, became involved in helping others with the many aspects of perinatal bereavement following the death of their infant son.

David is deeply committed to changing the world one person at a time.
