Rocco Galizio, Headmaster and Founder of the Chesterton Academy of Akron, has a long history in both teaching and formation. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2007, and after a period of discernment with the Congregation of Holy Cross, he left the seminary to work at Holy Cross College in the Campus Ministry and Residential Life Offices before moving back home to his native Akron, Ohio. While back in Akron, he worked with preschool to eighth grade programs and discovered the writings of GK Chesterton through his local Chesterton Society chapter, which led to the introduction to the Chesterton Schools Network. Realizing the need for such an apostolate in his own community, Rocco gathered like-minded families and individuals to bring Classical Catholic Education to the greater Akron area. Rocco, his wife Frances, daughter Chiara and new son Guiseppe are members of St. Sebastian Parish.
